Our Chairman used his
experience working for London Transport and then the Jack Barclay group
to establish his Automotive Business in 1989.
Starting with
mechanical repairs and expanding into vehicle rental, he acquired his
first Thrifty Car Rental franchise location in Morden in 1995 and grew
into the largest Thrifty Franchise in the
UK.
In 1998
BCL (Bellchoice Ltd) was formed as the vehicle
sales division of the group but it has developed into a successful
vehicle sales and contract hire company and the sale of the rental
vehicles is now on a small part of its sales activities.
In 1999
Autobelle Ltd was formed. Initially
intentioned as a smart repair company it soon developed into a full
blown Accident Repair centre and in 2005 took the logical step to take
on additional premises and add mechanical repairs, MOT’s and tyres to
it’s portfolio.
In March 2007 we agreed an amicable departure from
the Thrifty Franchise system and this led to the creation of
“The Car Hire Company”. This was done to
enable us to re-concentrate our efforts where we are best, that is
providing Local Car Hire and Van Hire to both the general public and
local business.
We work hard to ensure
our staff team enjoy the experience of working for the group and as a
consequence we enjoy good staff retention which means that you will be
served by experienced and knowledgeable staff.
Our commitment to innovation and excellent
customer service has rewarded us with continued growth. To date, we have
completed over 240,000 vehicle rentals and our services include Car and
Van Hire, Minibus hire,
Short term flexible rental contracts, contract
hire and used vehicle sales.
We currently have car
hire locations in Merton,
Kingston, Wimbledon, Croydon, Sutton and Bromley and will deliver throughout
south London and
North Surrey.
